The Kitchen Design Podcast. Episode 38 Please get a kitchen designer’s help! ⋆

Paul talks with Charles who has done all kinds of kitchen research. He has many ideas and plans yet hasn’t yet gotten any professional kitchen design help. Episode 38

Charles wants a very ornate complex expensive kitchen and wants to buy that kitchen quickly. Paul warns that the more complex the design the more professional help you need. And that the longer the process takes. When homeowners want inset and custom cabinetry only the best kitchen designers will be able to design even simple kitchens. Most importantly, in these expensive kitchens rushing is particularly dangerous, and cabinet dealers that encourage rushing are unprofessional. When you want a complex expensive kitchen please get a kitchen designer’s help.

Paul and Charles discuss the types of brands that can do inset cabinetry successfully and reasonably.

Decora, Starmark, Starmark, Medallion, and Brighton Cabinetry are discussed. They also talk about cabinetry sales and why they can be problematic.

The design above is rudimentary. A well planed design needs months working with a kitchen designer before it would be close to ordering.

Traditional design above. Close to other even more ornate French Country design styles Charles is considering. These styles take an especially long time to create and organize. On average a design like the one above would require 30 hours of design time before finalizing a cabinetry order. Only the most experienced kitchen designers can pull off this style well. The designs are also much more expensive. For example each leg on the corner of the island above might cost at least $600. This is why getting an experienced kitchen designer’s help is so important.

This Podcast is brought to you by Brighton Custom Cabinetry. Craftmanship, quality, and customization made more affordable.
